Today we slept in until about 11.00 and we all met up at the
Heineken Brewery at about 12.30. Joel
and I took the bus, it was a pretty good walk, and waited at a café for the
others to get there. I have been on a
couple of Brewery Tours and the Heineken did not let me down. The Sweetwater brewery tours I have been on
were more of a party, and the Heineken tour was more about the information on
the brewing process. By paying 15 euros
we got a Heineken bracelet, three beers, and a ‘free’ gift. The free gift was a pair of sunglasses, and I
actually kind of like them. After the
tour we had to take a boat to another Heineken store to get the free gift. The boat tour was really cool; we got to see
another part of Amsterdam that we didn’t see yet. We saw all of the house
boats, some were nice and some were not.
We checked out the store and I really wanted a Heineken Brewery shirt
from Amsterdam but they were like 30 euro so I figured I could get a cheaper
one online. This took a while and
afterwards we walked around for a little while, checked out the red light
district, and we found a cool little local bar.
We stayed here a little while and finally called it a night.
