May 11, 2012

Today I went on a nature walk through the country side of London.  We met outside the hotel at 9.00 in the morning and jumped on the tube.  We took the tube to a train station.  We rode the train for about an hour and a half out to Dr. Burt's stomping grounds.  We left the train stop and walked about a mile to a small town, where we met up with Dr. Burt's sister and had lunch.  We began the walk at this little town and immediately hit the trails leading into the vast London country side.  Luckily the weather was great all day.  It was cool, sometimes hot, but a little windy when we reached the top of huge hills.

London's country side is extremely beautiful and the views are breathtaking.  It really is too much for words to describe so you will have to view my pictures for today's post.  We walked for about five hours, which equates to about ten miles, give or take a few. Needless to say we were extremely tired by the end of the day.  We dropped Dr. Burt off at his house and came back home.  We had dinner at a pub and I had a deli sandwich, it was decent.  The one thing that is breaking me in London is the conversion rate on the money, five pounds is worth eight American dollars, everything gets pretty pricy.  Anyways, were headed out for the night so I will post again tomorrow. Deuces.
